INTRODUCTION/ OBJECTIVE

  • To teach the students everything about aircraft designs and why aircraft fly.
  • To teach the students about the History of Aviation, the Physiology of Flight, Rocket Design and Flight, the Secrets of Space Travel, Navigation, and Meteorology.

 

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

  • 13 plus years at Piscataway High School.
  • Nominated as "Teacher of the Year" by U.S.A.F.
  • Won nine "Honor" and four "Meritorious" unit awards
  • Unit ranked in the top 10% of all Air Force Junior ROTC units in the world, which consists of 650 units and 67,000 cadets.
  • Drill Team and Honor Guard Advisor
  • Teams have been New Jersey State Champions and ranked 6th Nationally, which included winning 1st place at the US Naval Academy Competition.

  • 20 years managerial and training experience in the US Air force.

  • Subsonic Aircraft Experience: Cherokee140, Cessna 150, 152, 172, T-37 and the T-41 propeller driven aircraft.

  • Experience as a crewmember aboard the KC-135 and KC-707 refueling jet aircraft and C-130 Transport aircraft.

INTRODUCTION/OBJECTIVE

  • To build better, more productive citizens.
  • The entire emphasis of Air Force ROTC is on citizenship and leadership training.
  • Make more effective use of their communicative skills.
  • Understand individual and group behavior.
  • To discuss topics concerning military customs and courtesies, attitude and discipline, and alcohol and drug abuse.

 

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

  • 5 plus years at Piscataway High School
  • Taught Aerospace Science bilingual to members of Japanese self defense force.
  • Instructed civilian airport personnel correct policies and requirements for handling.
  • Provide crisis intervention and counseling to youth and their families; referred to follow-up counseling.
  • Established rapport with troubled youths through one-on-one counseling, guidance, and "tough love".
  • Helped teens constructively deal with challenges through positive relationships and personal accountability.

 

COMMUNITY RELATIONS

  • Prepared handicapped and mentally retarded children for competition in Special Olympics activities.
  • Formed "Big Brother" program, helping adolescents with family conflicts, peer relationships and delinquency problems. Awarded "Big Brother of the Year".
  • Taught basic golf and racquetball skill to youth in individual and group settings.
  • Coached Air Force Base-sponsored youth’s baseball program and various youth intramural sports.

  • Provide protocol services to as many as 600 distinguished visitors per month.
  • Directed assignment of Personnel to duty positions; monitored work performance for accuracy and quality.
  • Interpreted regulations, manuals and other directives for subordinates, maintained records, and prepared special reports.
  • Planned, directed and managed day-to-day activities of over 115 military and civilian personnel.
